One BIG Update!

WOW! Time flies these last two months of each year. I hope everyone had a great Turkey Day, shared with friends and family.

Since my last update, I have had the pleasure of being inducted into the 2010 Englewood Area Board of Realtors® as the Secretary of the Board. I look forward to serving my fellow agents and community as a representative for our nearly 575 registered local real estate agents. Thank you to those of you who have helped me to achieve election.

In addition to the Secretary, I will also be creating a chapter of what we call the YPN. It is a “Young Professionals Network” that is open to our agents and affiliates of all ages. This is an opportunity for us to network, share ideas, and help each other with the challenging and ever-changing face of real estate. We will network with other YPN chapters throughout the United States and share in our experiences to benefit the customers we work with each day.

Thank you to those of you that came out to support me at the Englewood Fine Arts Festival this past weekend on Dearborn Street. The weather was not ideal, yet the show was a lot of fun. Thank you, also, Farlow’s on the Water (http://www.farlowsonthewater.com/), for purchasing my wreath from the Festival of Trees. The Englewood on the Gulf Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors put on another fabulous event! Donations, wreaths, and trees all brought in money for educational programs and the Englewood Helping Hand charity and food bank (http://www.englewoodhelpinghand.org/).

And now, “down to business”. The Island has been fairly quiet, although not as quiet as in past weeks. Our office has seen a marked increase in offers on listed property and also an up-tick in property showings. It’s nice to feel the stress of negotiation! Here's the breakdown of new listings, pending listings, sold listings and a few price changes. You might recognize some of these "new" listings that were off the market during the slower summer months:
